BLRC started in 1999 from a shop on the High Street in Kingussie. Known locally as “the resource centre”, BLRC has had many homes. After what can only be described as an interesting journey, the Centre now currently shares state of the art facilities with the Library on the upper floor of the Badenoch Centre. Part of a multi-purpose and multi-user building, the learning centre has a range of facilities available, enabling the centre to offer not only training courses but also other services. Learners are encouraged to access the center's computers, printer and internet access on a drop in basis. Tutor support for individuals and businesses is also available. Using web cams and video conferencing facilities, the centre can access UHI courses, and lectures. The Centre prides itself in providing an all-round service, in a friendly learning environment where help and encouragement are always on hand. |
